WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Where all of the good actors and crew are.
I’M NOT IN LOS ANGELES! CAN I STILL WORK WITH YOU?
Yes. There’s this handy device called the internet. It allows us to work together face to face via Skype, Facetime, Google Hangs or Whatsapp, (depending on where you are from). You get audition videos within a few days of starting and write the script with the director.
We use Google Invites for Screensharing, so you can participate in post if needs are specific. We work either by phone or face to face for revisions and creative discussions. Everyone gets everything done ten times faster and you never have to leave your desk!
For most Explainers, the script is written in one or two phone sessions. For commercial projects, our clients are given up to three over the phone script writing sessions (additional are just $100 per round) and two rounds of casting discussions.
This works great for commercials, product videos, Educational and APP Explainers.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Depending on both project needs and on how many clients we are currently serving, explainers often take between 48 to 72 hours.
Commercials are typically delivered within 3 to 4 weeks depending on complexity and casting/location requirements. If a simple, some have been delivered within less than a week for an extra charge.
WHAT IS THE EXPLAINER WORKFLOW?
Send us your site or online documents, brand guidelines and a brief bit about what your video is trying to communicate. You can also send any stock clips or after fx templates, you have found (we have hundreds of thousands we can use for you).
Then we hop on the phone, discuss your brand and message and write the script together.
The script is sent to Voice-Over and then the edit and graphics production begins.
Videos are delivered within a week (depending on current schedule – inquire at time of order).
WHAT IS THE COMMERCIAL WORKFLOW?
You send us your site or documents and what kind of a video you are looking to have shot and edited.
We do a phone call and brainstorm the concept/approach while discussing the budget and needs. The contract is then executed and a script writing session is scheduled.
We do a one-hour script call and then within a day or two you receive a copy of the script. We then do a call to tweak the script after you and your team have had a day to absorb.
Voice-over artist (if needed) is chosen and casting begins. Roughly 10 to 20 actors are sent over (depending on role). The client makes selections and then (for lead roles and any key roles) between 5 to 10 audition videos are recorded (more if needed). Client and director then agree on the cast. Shooting date is scheduled.
An edit is usually delivered within 5 to 10 days of shooting.
We have clear communication from the beginning, so revisions are often not necessary yet easily done if needed.
I WANT TO BE ON SET OR IN THE COMMERCIAL! IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Easy. Flights to LA from anywhere in the world are cheap. The air is really clean, the traffic is not bad and LAX airport security really likes to cuddle. You can ask them if you get bored during the commute. You can also join us at key moments via Facetime or Skype instead.
One great thing about us is, we do so many spots, that we are able to just plain take things over for you when you have your own business to think about. It is all streamlined here.
HOW BIG IS YOUR COMPANY? WILL MY PROJECT GET LOST IN THE SHUFFLE?
You only have to deal with your writer/director. While sometimes support team and crew is used in planning and post, you will not get lost in the shuffle here.
We are small enough to keep things affordable, fast enough to make ourselves a handsome profit, and good enough to stay constantly busy (and have a blast while doing it). The project turnaround times are fast.
We make the process very easy on you and allow you to be very involved, or simply put everything in the hands of a director with 20+ years experience under his belt. You will get something amazing either way!
